City of Columbia Parks and Recreation’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for all those they serve through good stewardship of the city’s natural and physical resources, through the presentment of safe and accessible facilities and through the operation of exemplary leisure services.

City of Columbia Parks and Recreation is responsible for:

  • 60 city parks and green spaces
  • 600 acres of city-maintained park land
  • 55 tennis courts
  • 16 city pools, spray pads and ponds
  • 9 city-maintained fountains

The Columbia Parks and Recreation Foundation joins City of Columbia Parks and Recreation in inviting you to take advantage of the great services provided, the beautiful parks and all the wonderful indoor and outdoor activities offered, from golf and tennis to swimming and recreation league play.

Whether you live in the City, are neighbors in the great State of South Carolina or are just visiting, the City of Columbia’s Parks and Recreation Facilities provide endless opportunities for fun, relaxation, exercise and enjoyment!

All city parks are open year-round from dawn to dusk. There are no entrance fees.
